Ana Caroline Fonseca
Graduate Student
Ana’s research is focused on characterizing and longitudinally comparing the use of antibiotic, probiotic, phytotherapeutic and basic diets on monogastric animals’ gut microbiome, in order to develop practical strategies to improve food safety and expand food production and animals’ production efficiency.
Ana has lots of experience working on projects in a field setting, going into barns and following proper biosecurity protocols. She is growing her experience in the laboratory by performing various wet lab tasks throughout her projects.
